Port Bannatyne Golf Club enjoyed a fantastic turnout and favourable conditions as the Rothesay Motor Services Winter League finally reached its conclusion, albeit a month later than planned due to challenging weather.
Despite the delay, members turned out in strong numbers to support the popular competition, with organisers expressing gratitude to Leighton Reid and his family at Rothesay Motor Services for their continued backing over the years.
The course was widely praised on the day, with special thanks extended to Duncan and Graham for their hard work in maintaining excellent playing conditions despite prolonged periods of rain.
In the final standings, Stewart and Phil took the wooden spoon, while Sean L and Martin M finished eighth. John B and Matthew D claimed seventh place, followed by Sam J and Iain M in sixth, and John W and Alex M in fifth.
David G and Neil W secured fourth place, with David R and Graham D finishing third. Runners-up were Neil M and Martin Y, while Graham F and David D emerged as overall winners of the Winter League.
There was also success for Graham Fisher, who claimed nearest to the pin at the tenth hole.
A spokesperson for the club said the strong turnout and competitive spirit on display were a fitting end to the winter season, with players already looking ahead to the months ahead.
