Road traffic offences detected on Cowal routes

LOCAL police have identified a series of road traffic offences on the A815 in recent days, highlighting ongoing concerns around driver behaviour on Cowal’s busiest routes.

The offences recorded included speeding, careless driving and the use of mobile phones while at the wheel. Officers said the checks form part of their continuing efforts to improve road safety and reduce risks for all road users.

The most serious incident involved a 23-year-old man who was reported to the procurator fiscal following an incident of careless driving on the B828 near Lochgoilhead on Saturday, September 13, at around 1.15pm.

Enforcement activity is expected to continue in the area as police target those putting themselves and others in danger on local roads.
