A COMMUNITY fundraising event in Strachur will bring together art, music, food and guest speakers in support of humanitarian aid.
The Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) Humanitarian Fundraiser will take place at Strachur Village Hall on Sunday, July 5, from 3pm to 6pm, raising money to support the charity’s work.
Organisers are inviting the community to come along for an afternoon of fundraising, with a wide range of activities planned.
The event will feature an auction of artwork donated by local artists, alongside a tombola and a selection of other prizes.
There will also be live music, films and the chance to purchase Palestinian products from local business Bookpoint.
Visitors will be able to enjoy tea, cake, home baking and Middle Eastern snacks while supporting the cause.
The event will also welcome guest speakers, including Argyll, Bute and South Lochaber MP Brendan O’Hara and Councillor Gordon Blair.
Organisers hope the afternoon will provide an opportunity for people to come together, learn more about the work of Medical Aid for Palestinians and raise funds for humanitarian support.
Entry costs £4, which includes tea and cake, with donations welcomed for food and other activities.
Those attending are reminded to bring cash as card payments will not be available.
