Wilson wins JLC Trophy at Rothesay Golf Club

ROTHESAY GOLF CLUB welcomed a strong field to the Ian Haig Memorial on Saturday, August 26.
The fine weather and perfect condition of the course made sure the scoring was low.
The year’s winner was Tommy Kilpatrick with a splendid round to finish three shots ahead of his nearest competitor. They came in the shape of an in-form John Neilson who’s been scooping up the prizes of late. Angus Murray finished a shot behind.
The club had many more prizes on offer and they will be drawn on September 10.
The two young stars from the junior section continue their good form and are putting Rothesay on the map in national competitions.
Robert Walker and Cameron Dougal journeyed to Alloa Golf Club to play in a European junior open event.
Robert finished a very creditable third and Cameron was 13th. Unluckily Robert missed a spot in Spain by one place. Congratulations to both boys for flying the Rothesay flag in another big event.
