A busy weekend of competition saw members at Rothesay Golf Club contest two events across Saturday and Sunday, with strong scoring in both the Jimmy and Laura Crawford (JLC) Trophy and the Subscription Medal.
Saturday’s JLC Trophy produced some excellent golf, with Stuart Wilson taking top honours after a fine round of 76-9=67. He edged out Billy Bowie, who returned 85-17=68 to finish runner-up, while Adam Steele claimed third place with 84-14=70.
On Sunday, attention turned to the Subscription Medal, kindly sponsored by Billy Leckie and Liz McLean, with prizes on offer across three divisions as well as a closest-to-the-pin contest at the 13th hole.
In Division One, Ryan Craig led the way with 75-8=67. Division Two went to Tommy Duncan after he posted 78-11=67, while Division Three was won by Stuart Strathie with 88-17=71. The club thanked Billy and Liz for their continued generous support of the competition.
With another strong weekend of turnout and scoring, attention now turns to next week’s Alistair McQueen Memorial and May Medal, as the season continues to gather momentum.
