'Without the fans, there is no football'

FIFA itself has shown it is corrupt. The costs of attending football in the recent world cup were outrageous.

Many lovers of the game went because they had the money. Very many others were unable to go because they did not. Where did all that money go to? Into the pockets of FIFA, Infantino among them on top of his six million a year.

The one vital necessity is that the fans, who love the game, are able to attend at low costs.

That is a must. That Infantino wanted to give every club millions to get their approval to allow him to reward investors was a fundamental error of judgement: the football fans are the only people who count.

Anything else is corruption. Without the fans there is no football and no tournament.
