MEMBERS of Cowal Young Bowlers gathered last Wednesday to celebrate a season of success, with their enthusiastic core of players commemorated for their commitment throughout the year.
Numbers fluctuated throughout the season, however turnout has been strong, peaking at 18 bowlers.
The keen youngsters gather every Wednesday from 4-5pm, spending their summers at Bogleha’ Bowling Club and winters at Cowal Indoor Bowling Club, sheltered from the testing conditions.
Typically, bowling for children starts from the age of 12, however the Cowal Young Bowlers welcome anyone who is enthusiastic to get involved, with members as young as six years old.
