ROTHESAY Golf Club welcomed 22 teams to the course for one of its busiest competitions of the year as the Glengarry Masters four-person team event returned.
The popular competition once again attracted a strong field, with sponsors Jimmy and Hazel Reid helping to make the day a success and a shotgun start keeping proceedings moving smoothly.
Taking the honours this year were CJ McMillan, Josh Cowan, Robert Lowrie and Ewan Mulholland, who combined for an outstanding winning score of 123.
Mulholland also provided one of the highlights of the competition with his shot at the 18th as the quartet secured victory by a single shot.
Second place went to Angus Murray, Ivan Cowie, Michael Murty and Andy Doc, who finished on 124.
Just one further shot behind were Davie Coll, Jim Hoey, Graham McArthur and Ted McDonald, taking third place with 125.
There was also individual success for Iain Simpson, who claimed the Friendship Trophy for the best scratch score after producing an excellent level-par round of 69.
Previous scratch winners George Reynolds, who has won the honour four times, Willie Glen and Craig Charker were all in attendance to see Simpson add his name to the longstanding Glengarry Masters tradition.
A number of prizes were also contested around the course.
Carl Kelly took nearest the pin in two at the third, while Richie Smith was nearest the line at the fourth. Donnie McDermid claimed the longest drive at the sixth with a three wood and also took nearest the pin in two at the 17th.
Garry Steele was nearest the pin at the eighth, with Sparky taking the prize at the 11th and Ryan Couse at the 13th.
Paddy Queen recorded the longest drive at the 16th using a hybrid, while Kenneth Dickson completed the course prizes by finishing nearest the pin at the 18th.
The club thanked Jimmy and Hazel Reid for their continued sponsorship of the Glengarry Masters and is already looking forward to the event’s return in 2027.
