A pub in Port Bannatyne is set to be bought by the local community following an award from the Scottish Land Fund.
Port Bannatyne Development Trust has received £150,190 in order to take over ownership of The Anchor Tavern, the last remaining pub in the village.
The village has recently been left with no licensed premises after three pubs in the Port have closed within five years.
This has left visitors and locals needing to make the two-mile journey into Rothesay for a refreshment.
The Port Bannatyne Development Trust are planning to operate the pub as a social space for locals and visitors.
The Scottish Land Fund funding will also cover the purchase of the old off-license on Marine Road for the community.
The village is just one of six in the country to be awarded funding by the organisation.
