Road Safety

In the past weeks, local police have detected a number of road traffic offences in Dunoon and the surrounding areas. Officers have detected incidents of driving with no insurance, no MOT and speeding. The most notable incident happened at around 9pm on May 12 when a 45-year-old man was arrested near Tarsan Dam for driving a motor vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit. He was released on an undertaking to appear in court.

To continue ensuring road safety, road policing units will be increasing their presence in the area with targeted patrols. These efforts aim to promote responsible driving habits and identify potential hazards. If you plan to get behind the wheel, please make sure your vehicle is roadworthy, with all necessary tests and documentation up to date.
