David Crawford Parker, (48), was given a restriction of liberty order, (house arrest), for 14 weeks, a supervision order for 12 months with a conduct requirement for the same period and ordered to carry out 270 hours of unpaid work. On June 25, 2025 at a property in Elizabeth Avenue, Dunoon and in Sanderson Drive, Parker assaulted an individual and uttered threats of violence in an aggressive manner towards them, brandished a speaker and pursued them. On the same day Parker shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence towards police officers in the execution of their duty. Without reasonable excuse he had an article which had a blade, namely a knife. At Dunoon Police Station he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner and assaulted a police officer in the execution of her duty, by kicking her on the body.
Aaron Achter, (35), no fixed abode, was imprisoned for 23 weeks and given a non-harassment for two years. On July 9 at Cowal Place he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering offensive remarks towards an individual and did attempt to seize the persons phone from them and whilst doing so struggled with them to their injury. Achter committed this offence having been granted bail from Dundee Sheriff Court on May 29. On the same day at Cowal Community Hospital he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner where he swore and uttered offensive remarks.
Derek McCartan, (30), from Dunoon was given a community payback order of 70 hours of unpaid work, as a direct alternative to a financial penalty. On December 16, 2025 McCarten had in his possession a Class A drug, namely cocaine and also a Class B drug, namely cannabis.
Gary Matthew McDiarmid, (37), from Alexandria, was fined 520 and had his licence endorsed with four penalty points. On April 23 on the A83 near to Cairndow he drove without due care and attention or consideration for other road users and drove at excessive speeds for the road and road conditions.
