CHRISTMAS shopping will get off to a flying start in Dunoon next weekend as the popular Inner Wheel Craft and Gift Fair returns with more than 70 stalls.
The annual event takes place at Dunoon Grammar School on Saturday, November 7, from 10am until 3pm, with organisers reporting that every available stall has already been snapped up.
Demand has been so high that a waiting list is now in operation for traders hoping to secure a space if any cancellations arise.
Visitors can expect a wide selection of handmade gifts and festive treats, including jewellery, greetings cards, textiles, wooden crafts, knitwear, jams, chutneys and beauty products.
A tearoom will also be open throughout the event, with all proceeds going towards the Primary 7 to secondary school transition weekend at Benmore.
Organised by the ladies of Dunoon Inner Wheel, the fair is a popular fixture in the town’s festive calendar and provides an opportunity to support independent makers while raising money for a worthwhile local cause.
Over the years, the group has raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities and remains grateful for the continued support of the Cowal community, particularly during challenging economic times.
Admission costs £1 for adults and 50p for children under 14.
Free parking is available at the school, while those travelling by public transport can use the 489 bus service, which stops outside the venue and departs from Dunoon Ferry Terminal hourly.
With more than 70 stalls to explore, the fair promises plenty of opportunities to get a head start on Christmas shopping while supporting a good cause.
