Agricultural charity seeks financial expert to join board

A SCOTTISH charity supporting farmers and agricultural workers across Cowal and the rest of Scotland is seeking a new trustee with financial expertise to help shape its future.

RSABI, which provides practical, financial and emotional support to people working in Scottish agriculture, is inviting applications from individuals with specialist financial knowledge and experience to join its board.

The charity is looking for someone who can contribute to its governance and strategic direction, helping ensure its services continue to meet the needs of Scotland’s agricultural community.

The successful applicant will work alongside existing trustees to provide financial insight and support the charity’s long-term development.

RSABI chairman Stephen Young said: “This is an exciting time to be joining RSABI, and we are looking forward to welcoming a new Trustee who can bring their financial expertise to our Board.

“Our Trustees play an important role in shaping the direction of the charity and ensuring we continue to make a difference to people across Scottish agriculture.

“We’re looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for RSABI’s work and would like the opportunity to use their skills to help us build on what we do and play an important part in the charity’s next chapter.”

RSABI provides free, confidential assistance to people involved in Scottish agriculture, including counselling, practical advice and financial support.

Its services are available to those facing personal, financial or emotional difficulties, with support offered quickly following an initial enquiry.

The charity is particularly keen to hear from applicants who are enthusiastic about its work and willing to volunteer their professional skills and experience.

Applications should include a CV and covering letter outlining the candidate’s interest in joining the board and the expertise they could bring to the role.

The closing date is Monday, November 2, at 5pm, with the successful applicant expected to be co-opted onto the board in December.

Applications and requests for further information should be emailed to [email protected].

RSABI also operates a free, confidential support service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on 0808 1234 555. Calls do not appear on phone bills.

Confidential webchat support is also available through the charity’s website at www.rsabi.org.uk.
