A MAJOR boost for Scotland’s transport and logistics sector is on the way, with plans confirmed for a brand-new Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus dealership at Eurocentral.
The £8 million project, led by Ciceley Commercials Ltd, will create around 40 new jobs and provide a full range of sales, service and parts facilities for Mercedes- Benz trucks and buses. The family-run firm, which has been a mainstay of the UK’s commercial vehicle industry for more than 50 years, says the development marks “an exciting new chapter” as it expands north of the border.
Work on the 4.75-acre site will begin soon, with a temporary workshop due to open in mid-2026 to support operators while the main building takes shape. The full dealership is expected to open in autumn 2026.
Ciceley has appointed Clark Contracts as the main contractor. The Paisley- based construction firm brings over four decades of experience and a strong sustainability record — values shared by Ciceley, whose “people-first” culture has been key to its success.
“Clark Contracts are the perfect fit for this project,” said Michael Scanlan, Director at Clark Contracts. “We’re looking forward to getting started on site and delivering a facility that meets the highest standards.”
Dealer Principal Andy Heys said the new dealership will “reflect the needs of Scottish truck operators,” offering an Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) lane, 12 service bays, and state-of-the- art diagnostic and repair facilities.
“This marks an exciting new chapter for Ciceley,” he added. “We’re proud to bring our family values and customer-first approach to Scotland.”
Ciceley Commercials began in the early 1970s when founder Brian Morgan started repairing his own delivery truck while running a fruit and veg stall in Blackburn. Word spread
quickly, and that small start led to one of the UK’s first Mercedes-Benz franchise dealerships.
Today, Brian, now 93, remains involved in the company alongside his son Russell, the chairman, and grandsons Adam and Sam.
Daimler Truck UK welcomed the move, calling it “a key milestone in strengthening Mercedes- Benz support across Scotland.”
Leonhard Niemann, Head of Dealer Network Development, said: “Ciceley’s reputation for customer dedication and operational excellence makes them the ideal partner for Scotland.”
With its family roots and award-winning track record, Ciceley’s arrival at Eurocentral looks set to deliver a major boost for operators and the wider Scottish transport industry.
