Motorcyclist dies following A83 crash near Tarbert

A MOTORCYCLIST has died and another has been seriously injured following a collision on the A83 in Argyll.
Emergency services were called to the crash involving a car and two motorcycles on the A83, north of Tarbert, at around 12.15pm on Sunday, July 19.
A 61-year-old man, who was riding one of the motorcycles, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.
The occupants of the car were not reported to have suffered any serious injuries.
The collision forced the closure of the A83 for more than eight hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and collision investigators examined the scene.
The road reopened at around 8.35pm.
Police Scotland has confirmed that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
