Change of venue for Boys Club reunion
Cowal Boys Club in the 1970s

There has been a sudden change of venue for the forthcoming reunion of Cowal Boys Club, where footballers from across Argyll and Bute are set to reconvene for the first time since the 70s.

Former members of the Cowal Boys Club, which was established in 1969, are set to host a nostalgic reunion for the team and other players. This special event was due to take place at the Boxing Club at Dunoon Stadium but a last minute change of plans means it will now take place at Walkers Tearoom on the same day and time as previously organised – Saturday, July 13, at 11am.

It’ll serve as a rare opportunity for former teammates to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate their shared history on and off the pitch. Organised by Charlie Cunning, who can be reached at 07852 130831 for further details, the reunion promises to be a memorable occasion filled with stories of past glories and camaraderie.

All former players and members associated with the club are encouraged to attend. Read this Friday’s edition of the Dunoon Observer for a special two page spread on the history of Cowal Boys club.
