ButeFest has been shortlisted for Festival of the Year at the Scottish Live Music Awards 2024, marking a significant achievement for the island’s beloved annual celebration of live music.

The Scottish Live Music Awards, which recognises the best in the Scottish live music scene, will take place in Glasgow next month.

ButeFest’s inclusion in the Festival of the Year category highlights its growing reputation as one of Scotland’s most vibrant and unique festivals, considering over 84,000 votes were cast.

Among its competitors are Glasgow giant TRNSMT, Tiree Music Festival, and Glasgow Pride.

Since its inception, ButeFest has been a key fixture on the Isle of Bute, drawing music lovers from across the country to enjoy a diverse range of live performances.

The festival has become known for its eclectic line-up, which spans genres from folk and rock to indie and electronic, offering something for every music fan.

Beyond the music, ButeFest is celebrated for its strong sense of community, with locals playing a central role in the event’s success.

The festival has continued to grow year on year, with an increasing number of visitors and an ever-expanding line-up of both emerging and established artists. The event not only offers world-class entertainment but also showcases the stunning natural beauty of Bute, adding to the festival’s appeal.

The Scottish Live Music Awards will be held on December 11th in Glasgow, with ButeFest among the top contenders for the Festival of the Year award.
