EMERGENCY SERVICES were called out last Sunday after a suspected body was spotted floating in the River Clyde.
Concerned members of the public contacted authorities after spotting what they believed to be a person in the water. Police, paramedics, and coastguard teams were quickly dispatched to the scene to investigate.
The area close to Dunoon’s shoreline was searched, and emergency crews acted swiftly to assess the situation. Fortunately, it was soon confirmed that the incident was a false alarm. The object in question turned out to be a discarded puffer jacket floating on the surface of the water.
Emergency services stood down shortly after confirming the object’s identity.
