AFTER falling ill, four-year-old Isla from Apple Tree Nursery had to use the air ambulance charity for treatment, which showed her the vital work Scotlands Air Ambulance Charity do, particularly for those in remote places.
Having now recovered, the young girl wanted to raise funds for the people who helped me when I wasnt well and organised a bake sale in her nursery.
The bake sale had lots on offer, including sticky toffee pudding, cupcakes and Islas own brownies and cookies.
The result of the bake sale was an amazing sum of 1,200, raised between Apple Tree, Fyne Homes and Port Bannatyne Golf Club.
Isla said: The helicopter will be so happy with me Ive got them so many pennies.
They [the ambulance workers] were really helpful, they gave me medicine to help me feel better, and i even got a bandage on my arm.
Isla enlisted the help of her family to spread the word of the bake sale online, and warned her teachers to bring their baking A-game and spare pennies with them on the day, culminating in a huge sum raised for the organisation.
