In a first for Cowal, the Glasgow Science Centre brought along interactive exhibits exploring how Scotland keeps the lights on.
From hydro to nuclear, wind to fossil fuels, youngsters eagerly turned cranks and pressed buttons to see how different energy sources combine to power homes and businesses. The educators on hand handled tricky questions with ease – even when challenged about tidal power or the future of fossil fuels.
It was proof that the Top Field isn’t just about entertainment, but education too, delivered in a fun and hands-on way.
