Greer and Muir Win Quaich

LAST WEEKEND saw members of Port Bannatyne Golf Club play the last big competition before hunkering down for the winter league–the Greenkeepers Quaich.

Duncan has been tending to the greens for many years now, those within the club are astounded at the course’s continued improvement over the years, and the quaich serves as a thank-you for Duncan’s hard work.

40 golfers took to the turf with a large array of prizes up for grabs in a two-man scramble format in tough wet conditions.

Winners on the day were Davie Greer and Colin Muir; Second was Lewis Poole and John Murray; in third was Colin Renfrew and Robert Jardine.

Best scratch of the day was Donald Standaloft and Davie Kilpatrick.

The cub wished to thank Roddie and Hazel for the bar and the food, and Duncan and his family for all they do for our club.
