Island lodge holds installation meeting

DESPITE the inclement weather and ferry disruption, there was a large attendance of local and visiting members at Lodge Rothesay St. John, No. 292’s Annual Installation Meeting, held at the Rothesay’s Masonic Hall on Saturday, December 13.

W. Stuart McLean was installed as Right Worshipful Master for the coming year, together with his Office-Bearers, by Installing Masters, S. Ellis N. Rutherford, PM, and James S. McMillan, PM.

Following the meeting, an excellent buffet was put on, in the course of which the traditional Loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured.

On the Sunday morning, lodge members joined the congregation of the Isle of Bute Parish Church for morning worship, conducted by the minister, the Rev. Sibyl A. Tchaikovsky, to mark the start of the new session.
