LOCAL police are reviewing a series of videos filmed in Dunoon by a controversial online content creator during last weekend’s Argyll Rally.
Scott Margerison, from Rochdale, who posts under the name E Dobbin, visited the town during the rally weekend, filming interactions with members of the public using camera-enabled Meta glasses, before sharing the footage on social media platform TikTok.
Margerison, who has built a following through videos documenting encounters with strangers, has previously faced criticism over some of his content.
Last year, one of his videos sparked an online backlash after critics claimed it showed him harassing a mother who was out with her young daughter.
Following this and other concerns raised online, campaign groups have issued warnings about Margerison’s attendance at public events, calling on organisers to consider restricting his access.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed officers were reviewing the footage.
They said: We are aware of the videos posted online and are assessing the content.
