14 of the Dunoon Hillrunners took the short trip across the water to Port Glasgow for the 10K race recently, with scorching sunshine providing a stellar backdrop to a sweltering run.
The running route had been altered from the previous year, but that coupled with the unusually warm temperatures didn’t deter the Hillrunners as they came away with some impressive results.
Alongside Shannon Fairgrieve, who completed her first event with the group, Evie Els came away with a win as the fastest junior female in the event.
After the race, members gathered for lunch and commemorated the event for for its cheap entry fee and great route.
