Dunoon Sheriff Court report

Jack Donnachy (24), from Dunoon, was given a community payback order for 12 months and ordered to carry out 225 hours of community service as a direct alternative to custody. On January 8, 2025, at John Street, Dunoon, Donnachy assaulted a man, brandished a machete at him and attempted to strike him with it. Donnachy also threw the machete at the man, striking him on the body.

Charles Louden (30), from Sandbank, was given a restriction of liberty order (house arrest) for 16 weeks, from 7pm to 7am. On March 11, at a property in Sandbank, Louden behaved in a threatening and abusive manner by attending there uninvited, where he shouted, swore, forced entry, uttered offensive remarks and uttered threats towards an individual while four children were present. Louden committed this offence having been granted bail on two occasions, on September 5, 2025, at Greenock Sheriff Court and on the same day at Dunoon Sheriff Court. The next day, March 12, at Dunoon Police Office, Louden, without reasonable excuse, damaged the property of another, urinated and defecated within a police cell and smeared it throughout.

David Louden (33), from Sandbank, was given a community payback order for 12 months, ordered to attend addiction services and to carry out 140 hours of community service as a direct alternative to custody. On February 19, at the Co-op supermarket in Dunoon, he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner towards a retail worker by shouting and swearing; he also behaved in a disorderly manner and refused to leave the premises when asked to do so by the store manager.

Jacob Alexander (24), from Dunoon, was given a community payback order and ordered to carry out 180 hours of community service as a direct alternative to custody. On November 10, 2023, at the Cothouse Garage, Cot House Filling Station, Kilmun, Alexander, whilst acting with another, assaulted a man by punching him on the head, struggling violently with him and headbutting him, causing him to fall to the ground to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

Thomas Lawton (55), from Hunters Quay, was fined £420, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to attend a driver rehabilitation course. On March 14, on Alexandra Parade, Dunoon, he drove a car after consuming alcohol, which left him almost three times over the legal limit.

David Crawford Parker (48), from Dunoon, was fined £320. Having been granted bail on June 25, 2025, at Dunoon Sheriff Court and being subject to the condition of not approaching a specific individual, Parker, on March 15 at Cowal Community Hospital, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with said condition and approached the individual and was within their company.

Nicola Ann Black (42), from Helensburgh, was fined £150. On March 3, at Caledonia House in Dunoon, Black behaved in a threatening and abusive manner and acted aggressively towards police officers by repeatedly shouting, swearing and threatening them with violence.

Shannon Fairgrieve (31), from Innellan, was given a community payback order for 12 months and fined £230. On March 22, 2025, at Trinity Lane, Innellan, she assaulted a police officer in the execution of their duty and repeatedly attempted to bite him. Fairgrieve assaulted another police officer by repeatedly kicking him on the body.

Paul Connelly (41), from Dunoon, was given a restriction of liberty order (house arrest) for 14 weeks, from 7pm to 7am, and disqualified from driving for three years. On August 24, 2025, on Royal Crescent and Johnston Terrace, Dunoon, Connelly drove a car after consuming so much alcohol he was twice over the legal limit.
