A HELENSBURGH business is set to have its application for a premises licence heard by councillors next week.
Wicker and Wine, on West Clyde Street, will have its bid heard by the Argyll and Bute licensing board, seeking to add on and off sales to its deli/farm shop premises.
A licensing standards officer (LSO) has also advised management of the shop on the use of outdoor drinking facilities, which may be the subject of a future planning application.
The licensing board will hold its meeting on Tuesday, April 21.
An LSO report published with papers for the meeting said: “This is an application for a new premises licence to add on and off sales to what is described as a deli/farm shop.
“The applicant is looking to sell wine and a small local selection of craft beers and spirits. The LSO has been in touch with the applicant and advised what updates and actions are required.”
The report then said that the core hours for on sales would be noon to 8pm, and off sales 11am to 8pm, seven days a week.
It also raised the possibility of outdoor drinking from noon to 8pm, saying: “I have advised the applicant that he may wish to seek planning and roads permissions to use the pavement outside. This may well be part of a future application.
“I have advised the applicant that he may wish to include bar meals to allow food to be served on the premises.
“New layout plan requested showing outside area if approved and the display areas within the premises. Although this is not a requirement as the application included on sales, the off sales display would be a helpful guide to balance of off and off sales anticipated.”
