BUTE residents are being invited to dab their way to a good cause when Oxfam hosts a fundraising bingo night in Port Bannatyne next month.
Oxfam’s Rothesay shop is bringing the community together for an evening of bingo, prizes and fundraising at Port Bannatyne Golf Club on Saturday, September 5.
Eyes will be down from 8pm, with all money raised supporting Oxfam’s work tackling poverty and inequality around the world.
Entry costs £5, with bingo tickets priced at £1 each, and organisers are hoping for a full house on the night.
There will also be a raffle, with prizes including a family trip aboard the famous Waverley paddle steamer.
Jan Cochrane, manager of Oxfam Rothesay, said: “We’re really looking forward to bringing people together for a fun community night out while raising vital funds for Oxfam’s work.
“The support we receive from people across Bute is incredible and events like this are a great way to have a laugh, catch up with friends and make a real difference at the same time.
“Whether you’re a seasoned bingo player or just fancy trying your luck, we’d love to see as many people as possible come along.”
The event has been organised by volunteers and supporters of the Rothesay charity shop, which has been a long-standing presence in the island community.
Jan added: “Every ticket sold will help support Oxfam’s fight against poverty and inequality around the world.”
Tickets for the bingo night are available now from the Oxfam shop in Rothesay.
The Oxfam Bingo Night takes place at Port Bannatyne Golf Club on Saturday, September 5, with eyes down at 8pm. Entry is £5 and bingo tickets cost £1 each.
