THE KYLES of Bute Horticultural Society held their Summer Show recently at the Kames and District Recreational Hall.

In spite of the poor weather leading up to the Show, entries in the vegetable and flower classes were strong. The local bakers and flower arrangers were also well represented and there were some high-quality exhibits in the handicrafts and photographic section.

Large numbers came to see the show and were treated to teas and some excellent home baking and were able to purchase from very extensive plant and cake stalls.

A spokesperson for the event said: The committee would like to thank the judges, entrants, volunteer helpers, those who donated plants and cakes and everybody who came along to support the show.

We look forward to welcoming you back next year.
