Conservatoire Governor’s Prize winner to play
Born in Bucharest, Romania, Robert Creimerman attended the George Enescu National Music School and in 2020 studied in Glasgow at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he won the recital prize.
Part of the prize is a series of recitals throughout Scotland to further his pianist career.
Bute Arts Society were fortunate enough to be chosen as a recipient in the 2025/26 concert season.
Throughout his Scottish Bachelor studies, his pianistic side evolved under the tutelage of the Scottish pianist, Grame McNaught, and his horizons widened thanks to numerous collaborations with other students at the conservatoire.
Currently, Robert is a masters student at the Brussels Royal Conservatoire, where he continues to develop as a pianist.
Driven by his insatiable passion for music, he is now both a pianist and composer having produced the original soundtrack for Purpur, a feature film created by German director Isabelle Konrad. In his first visit to Bute he will be welcomed to the island to perform works by Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy and Liszt.
