Have your say on the future of care

ARGYLL AND Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is drawing up its next Joint StrategicPlan(2026– 2031) and wants Rothesay residents to help shape it.

A local community conversation will take place on Thursday, October 17, at The Bank of Ideas, on Rothesay’s High Street, with two drop-in sessions: 10am–12 noon and 2–4pm. Islanders can share what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change in health and social care on Bute.

The consultation runs from today until December 7, and will guide how services are delivered over the next five years. HSCP says it is keen to hear from patients, carers, staff, community groups, providers and partners on the Isle of Bute.

The draft priorities include: Prevention and community-based care.

Integrated, person-centred support.Financial and system sustainability. A healthy, engaged workforce and better access in tackling health inequalities HSCP says feedback from Rothesay will help it understand local needs, identify risks and opportunities, and finalise proposals ahead of a report to the Integration Joint Board in March 2026.

To get involved simply complete the online questionnaire during the consultation window and subscribe for updates to follow the plan’s development and outcomes.

The NHS Highland Engagement Hub goes live today and residents can register now to receive notifications once materials are published.

Organisers are encouraging anyone with a view on GP access, hospital pathways, community services, social care, mental health support, transport to appointments, or digital options such as video consultations to come along
