NONE of the six Argyll and Bute Councillors who stood to become MSPs in the Scottish Parliamentary election on Thursday, May 7 succeeded in their bids.
Three councillors stood in the Argyll and Bute constituency, with Amanda Hampsey (Reform UK, Oban South and the Isles) finishing third with 3,678 votes.
Peter Wallace (Conservative, Isle of Bute) was fifth with 1,703 votes, and Tommy MacPherson (Independent, South Kintyre) was sixth with 769 votes.
