TWO OF Scotland’s most recognisable storytellers are heading to Dunoon next week for a special event celebrating the launch of a brand- new book honouring Scotland’s beloved
dog breeds.
Popular broadcaster and writer Peter MacQueen will be joined by Coinneach MacLeod, the best-selling Hebridean Baker, as he unveils his latest book, Tails of Scotland: The Story of Scottish Dogs. The pair will host an evening of stories, heritage and Highland charm on Tuesday, December 2, at the former library in the Queen’s Hall.
Tails of Scotland follows MacQueen as he explores the hills, glens and islands of the country in search of fourteen iconic Scottish breeds—from the majestic Deerhound to the ever-cheeky West Highland Terrier. Blending history, photography and practical advice, the book celebrates the deep bond between Scotland and its four-legged companions.
Coinneach MacLeod, whose cookbooks and tales of Hebridean life have won him a global following, will join Peter on stage for what promises to be a warm, nostalgic and entertaining evening. Audiences can expect island stories, dogs aplenty, traditional recipes and perhaps even a song or two.
Tickets are available now from Bookpoint or online at bookpointdunoon.com
