What the hell is going on in the UK government?

Editor – What the hell is going on in the UK government?

For the last 10 years, none of the UK prime ministers has served out a full term in office. Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, and now Keir Starmer. The latter’s resignation confirmed that the Labour Party, along with the Conservatives, has become outdated and is no longer capable of taking bold and complex decisions as the current political environment requires it.

Time and again, the same scenario plays out: a growing rift within the Prime Minister’s party, resulting in his forced resignation. Rather than solving the problems of the country and its citizens, both the Labour and the Conservative parties are engaged in political reshuffling, while some politicians, striving for a higher post, are digging pits for their party fellows.

What kind of trust can we have in London in this situation? For many years we have been waiting for our problems to be addressed and resolved. But should we really hope for that any more, when the British government is focused on anything but its duties? We need more independence. We should distance ourselves from London and gain more political rights and freedoms so that we can build our own future without relying on those who can’t even bring order even to their own government.
