NO tenders have been received for works on a Rothesay bus shelter, council officials have said in a report.
Argyll and Bute Council sought a contractor for the facility at Guildford Square, but no officers were made, with officers set to discuss alternative steps.
However, another £10,000 of funding has been secured from Sandbank Community Trust for the play facility in the village.
The details feature in an update from the council’s roads and infrastructure services department, which is available on the authority’s website.
The document, dated Friday, June 26, said: “The tender process for the replacement bus shelter at Guildford Square has now concluded.
“As no tenders were received, officers are considering the most appropriate way to take the project forward and will review the possible options/alternatives in the next couple of weeks once key staff return from annual leave.
“Following a successful meeting with Sandbank Community Trust yesterday, the trust has agreed to contribute a further £10,000 towards the project, bringing the total funding package to £40,000.
“This represents an excellent example of partnership working and means the council can now proceed to tender for the play park improvement works.
“Grass cutting works are ongoing at C9 Whistlefield. The team is also progressing culvert repair works on the C9, alongside planned capital surfacing activity in the area. The team are also patching in the Loch Striven area.”
