TIGHNABRUAICH’S RNLI fundraising team were rewarded with dry skies and fantastic community spirit for their Mayday event – the charity’s main annual fundraising campaign.
Locals and visitors alike enjoyed a lively afternoon of plant stalls, homemade cakes, face painting, and a musical open garden tour, all organised by dedicated volunteers.
The event raised an impressive £1,700 through donations, plant and cake sales, and garden entry fees. Janet Lange, chair of the local fundraising team, said: “It was an excellent day – thank you to everyone who came along and gave so generously.”
The RNLI relies on public donations to fund vital training, equipment, and support for its life- saving crews. Volunteers in Tighnabruaich work tirelessly year-round, hosting events and running the station shop to keep the service afloat.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to all who helped make the day a success – and to those who continue to support the RNLI’s mission to save lives at sea.
